Paul, Andrew and Donal; high tide, sunshine and two days of onshore breeze. Paul's van was soon loaded with boats and we were off to St Bees. The surf being more impressive than we had thought (and the after-effects of the previous evenings "sport") meant that Donal stayed on shore with his camera...
Getting out through the surf wasn't easy...
...and didn't get any easier!
Then there are the groynes to avoid...
Well worth it though!
